SAMARDO SAMUELS
The future Louisville power forward from Newark, N.J., averaged 24.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.1 blocks a game while shooting 67% from the floor. “His improvement was spectacular,” says coach Dan Hurley.
TYREKE EVANS
Four-time all-state honoree Evans capped his varsity career at American Christian by averaging 32.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4 steals a game. The 6-foot-6 guard plans to choose a college this month.
JRUE HOLIDAY
As a four-year starter, Holiday helped California’s Campbell Hall to more than 120 wins. This season, the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 25.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 4.8 steals a game. He’ll next play for UCLA.
TYLER ZELLER
North Carolina-bound Zeller shot 69% from the floor and 82% on free throws, averaging 32.2 points and 10 rebounds a game. The 7-foot center from Washington, Ind., ranks third in his class with a 3.98 GPA.
AL-FAROUQ AMINU
This season, Aminu averaged 23.1 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists a game. “He was front and center as our leader,” Norcross coach Eddie Martin says of the future Wake Forest wing forward.
B. J. MULLENS
Mullens capped his career at Canal Winchester by averaging 26.2 points and 14.5 rebounds a game. In one win, he scored a school record 62 points. He’s been committed to Ohio State since his freshman year.
DEMAR DEROZAN
DeRozan, a California wing forward and candidate for state Player of the Year, averaged 29.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3 steals a game. He’s USC-bound.
WILLIAM BUFORD
With more than 1900 career points, Ohio Mr. Basketball honoree Buford is the second-leading scorer in Toledo history. The 6-foot-5 wing forward will head to Ohio State.
GREG MONROE
The future Georgetown power forward from state title-winner Helen Cox High in Harvey, La., averaged 21 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 65% from the floor and 75% at the foul line.
