For his efforts on the court and in the classroom, Moore also has been named to the first-team senior all-state boys basketball team chosen by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, as well as first team Academic All-State.
This season, Moore, who has a 3.5 grade-point average, averaged 13.4 points on 51.6 percent shooting. He made 133-of-163 free-throw attempts (81.6 percent). Moore led the team in assists (188), steals (65) and minutes (683) played.
As a freshman, Moore totaled 30 points, 16 assists and 14 steals. Those numbers increased to 160 points, 99 assists and 48 steals his sophomore year. As a junior, Moore had 132 points, 121 assists and 40 steals.
“I know that I learned from guys ahead of me and, hopefully, guys in the program can keep learning and the program keeps getting better,” he said.
Moore is undecided on a college choice but has been offered a scholarship by Boston University, where he recently took an official visit.
